Cultural Programme – Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014

The Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme is a national celebration. Culture 2014 will showcase dance, theatre, music, visual arts, comedy and much more in the run up to and after the Commonwealth Games, with Festival 2014 transforming the Host City at Games time.  The Cultural Programme is a partnership between the Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee, Glasgow Life, and Creative Scotland through National Lottery funding.

Word Travels – Sydney Writers Festival 2013

Miles Merrill writes and performs poems, monologues stories for venues and festivals internationally. His productions  The Night Words Festival (Sydney Opera House 2008) and Slamming (Sydney Festival 2005) won outstanding critical acclaim. Merrill directs the national literary performance competition- The Australian Poetry Slam. He is also Creative Director of the literary arts association Word Travels. Akshayee Shetty  – artist and collaborator on Q-POETICS and other projects with lead artist Skye Loneragan

Akshayee (dubbed Tiny Tina by one of the shorter people we worked with at The Tramway, Glasgow many years ago now, working on The Little Prince by Saint Exupery & with the Tim Rollins method – K.O.S, Kids of Survival), is a visual and graphic artist who is director of the organisation Sense Kaleidescopes: one of the few if any organisations in India dedicated to working with autistic artists. Akshayee Shetty is working with the Cultural Programme & Q-Poetics for our stint at the Commonwealth Games, and worked with Skye on several other projects, including Outside Art & her residency in Banglaore, thanks to the Federation of Scottish Theatre.
